Hometown: Brevard, Florida
Amidst a torrent of broken strings, late nights, and shattered glass, Boys go to War rose from the ashes of the smoldering Central Florida music scene. Featuring members from local namesakes Preferred 53, The Spitvalves, and Gwendolyn, Cameron Brintle, Joe Zack, Sean Kasper, and Brad McRae begun a reign of terror up and down the east coast of Florida in just a few short months.

United in November of 2001, after the break up of Preferred 53, Cameron brought his vocal styling's and guitar ruckus to the new team. He hooked up with drum maestro Brad McRae who had previously been dancing up the kids in Merritt Island with the malpractice riot Idiofunkracy. After working out a few songs with crippled duo, Joe Zack was added after moving back to the coast after a few years of bright lights and big city with indie rockers Gwendolyn. The trio began too take off, with but one little hitch. That's where the K came in. Hailing as the bass player of the workaholic Ska-core band The Spitvalves, Shawn kicked his incredible antics, precision, and accuracy into gear with the force in December 01', and Cocoa hasn't been quite the same since.

Boys go to War got to enjoy some early status by filling their practice space up on Fridays and Saturdays with anyone that would fit. These show-like practices helped compile the joy and personality of the band and they began playing shows in early February 02'.

Immediately following this bio...BGTW continued on this path for sometime. Releasing only a 3-song demo, BGTW achieved three national tours, filled venues and a reputation for being a great band. The story of BGTW is short but a confusing one. In the Spring on 02', Guitarist Joe Zack left BGTW to pursue a education. Replacing him was local legend Scott Phillips (Preferred 53,Sleeping Girl Drowning) who realigned the band and brought a great combination of alcoholism and odd time.

That following summer bassist Kasper (who had legal issues at the time) was forced to step down because a month long tour planned for BGTW in July 02'. Replacing him was friend and bassist/guitarist Matt Howard. With a successful tour behind them Kasper rejoined the group at its passing. Yet because of the stresses of the confined tour life. Guitarist Scott Phillips left the group in september 02'. Again Matt Howard came to the rescue of BGTW. This time taken the 2nd guitar position. Writing a new collection of songs BGTW where again able to continue strong.

In the Winter of 02' BGTW set out on another month tour with friends and label mates The Little. A tour that would take the groups to the streets of NY, colleges in the midwest, and the goodtime of New Orleans. During which Kasper again was forced to return home due to legal issues. And returned home from Dayton, Ohio on a greyhound bus. Forcing bassist Gavin Little of The Little to carry bass responsibilities for both bands for the rest of the tour.

Returning home, Matt Howard returned on bass and again Scott Phillips returned to the Guitar position he once held. With this new breath of fresh air and re-energized spirit, BGTW planned on releasing a 5-song EP in the Spring of 03'. That idea was never seen through to completion. Despite all the buzz and success BGTW came to a end in April 03'
